Deep resistance & culture.

„I am a rebel,“ smiles the 70-year-old Stella Chiweshe. Her album „Kasahwa: Early Singles“ offers a fascinating introduction to the world of Mbira, with the term not only referring to the instrument, consisting of 22 to 28 metal keys mounted on a wooden healing tree body, but also to a musical genre – and on a much wider level, to an entire culture and deeply spiritual lifestyle, very much at the core of the young Zimbabwean nation. Mbira is an ancient mystical music which has been played for over a thousand years by the Shona people, a group which forms the vast majority of the country’s population. Mbira pervades all aspects of Shona culture, both sacred and secular. Its most important function is as a “telephone to the spirits of people, water, trees, stones and birds,” used to contact both deceased ancestors and tribal guardians, at all-night ceremonies. „Kasahwa“ is a collection of impossible-to-find early seven inches, eight cuts spanning the period from 1974 to 1983 and representing Mbira in its purest form. None of these songs has been released outside of Africa so far.

In her humble beginnings, little pointed to the fact that young Stella at sixteen would become „The Queen of Mbira“ and nothing short of a national icon. Growing up on a musical diet of white American Rock’n’Roll and Country with Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Jim Reeves, and The Everly Brothers being favorites, she initially showed little interest in local traditional music. She continued to stay unimpressed when her grandparents invited a group of Mbira players from another region for an overnight ritual. It was not until two years later, that Mbira started to ring inside her head “loud and endlessly.” This overwhelming, mystical experience turned Chiweshe into an avid student of the instrument and the philosophy connected to it. But playing Mbira music was by no means a career option for women in the British colony of Rhodesia: None of the (male) musicians were willing to teach her. And, almost worse, none of the instrument makers agreed to build an instrument for a woman. Stella ended up recording her debut single „Kasahwa“ (1974), the title track of her upcoming Glitterbeat album, on a borrowed thumb piano.

It was not only observations like these which turned the free-spirited Chiweshe into an outspoken feminist.

„Kasahwa“ made Stella a local sensation with the artist at first finding it hard to cope with her newly achieved popularity. After the country had become independent in 1980, Chiweshe started to tour internationally, first as a featured soloist of the new „National Dance Company of Zimbabwe,“ and later under her own name. This quickly made her into a star, during the first international boom of African and „world music” in the late 1980’s. Zimbabwean music was then championed by fans and influential DJs including John Peel alike (Stella has recorded two of Peel’s legendary Sessions). For more than 35 years, Stella Chiweshe has crossed between Zimbabwe and Germany, where she has a second home in the city of Berlin. In the last few years, things have become a bit quiet around her, which feels unfair, since Chiweshe is still a performer of a breath-taking intensity. You can, therefore, call „Kasahwa: Early Singles,“ her first release in more than a decade, a comeback.

The brilliant new mastering by Nick Robbins from London’s Sound Mastering studio, reveals the urgency of these songs by separating the music’s key elements (Mbira, vocals, and shakers) so that they gain an almost sculptural effect.

Tracklist:

A1 Ratidzo

A2 Chipindura

A3 Kasahwa

A4 Gomoriye

A5 Gwendurugwe

B1 Mayaya (Part 1 & 2)

B2 Musarakunze

B3 Nhemamusasa

Camarão ‎– Imaginary Soundtrack To A Brazilian Western Movie 1964–1974. At the end of the 70s, Fairuz was at a turning point both professionally and personally. Her Husband Assi Rahbani, who, with his brother Elias, had penned her biggest successes, has suffered a stroke a few years earlier. This setback ultimately led to both the demise of their marriage and the end of their professionnal partnership. As with all Santeria ritual musical accompaniment, drums are at the center of all offerings – namely, the Bata and Coro. In Okonkolo, they are played by Rodriguez, Gene Golden and Xavier Rivera. Building on these rhythms, vocals play an equally important role in the proceedings, sung in Yoruba, contributed by Aby and the powerful female voices of Amma McKen and Jadele McPherson.

Along the Cantos journey, strains of music from around the world can be heard – Africa, South America, the Caribbean and even New York City. Beyond the drums and vocals featured at any traditional Yoruba / Santeria ceremony, with this album there are additional layers that add to the musical beauty: overlaid on top of traditional elements are jazz-associated instrumentation, including horns, bass, guitar and even lush string arrangements. These additional sounds were created by guitarist and producer Jacob Plasse, who first heard and performed with the group more than a decade ago, and who brought the project to the Big Crown label.

Factory Sealed (New).

Minyo Crusaders - Echoes Of Japan, 2x Vinyl LP

Limited restock; double LP version, black vinyl. Shimmering electro-pop meets pulsing dance rhythms and retro Persian sonics. Includes clandestine collaborations with Iran-based musicians and composers. For her second album, Zan ("Women" in Farsi), the Israeli- Persian singer collaborated online with composers and musicians from Iran. Everything had to be secretive to avoid the gaze of Tehran's mullahs and secret police. The result is her private revolution, songs with a true message, music to make people dance and smile -- and above all, think. The songs on Zan are the fulfilment of a dream, taking Liraz deep into the soul of the country that fills her heart and populated the stories her parents told her as a child -- but one she's never seen. Her family, Iranian Jews, moved to Tel Aviv in the 1970s. Yet although Liraz was raised in Israel, she's always believed that "my culture is Iranian." The real revelation came when she moved to the US for three years to work as an actress, appearing in several big-budget movies, including A Late Quartet and Fair Game. In Los Angeles she found a huge Iranian community. When making Naz (2018), she wrote and sang in Farsi, the music at times exploring the sounds of pre-revolution Iranian pop music. On Zan, she worked with Iranian musicians, some anonymously, and let her voice and her music resonate further. One of those anonymous players, a female percussionist based in Tehran, features on the opening track, "Zan Bezan," (in English "Women, Sing") alongside Liraz's Israeli band. It's an insistent, catchy piece of electro-pop with heavy musical nods to Iranian pop stars of the 1970s like Googoosh; the message of female empowerment, however, is absolutely contemporary. Another secret Iranian collaborator worked on the powerful earworm that's "Joon Joon," where the dance beats erupt straight from a 1970s Tehran disco, while the big chorus implants itself in the brain and refuses to leave. Zanis an album of contrasts, like "Shab Gerye," the ballad that Liraz knew she needed to include "because the words and music fit so perfectly. It's a love song about reality," or the aching closer, "Lalai." The album continues breaking the walls her mother and aunts began to dismantle. But it does much more: it burrows under borders. It connects countries and cultures. Zan, Liraz insists, is the second chapter of the story that began with Naz. Going fast and having a different approach meant we weren’t so serious, some of the tracks are very playful.” It shows; there’s joy in every note. The music flows as if it had been waiting to appear. It crosses and re-crosses that fluid border between Mexico and the United States, mixing rock and pop with ranchera and cumbia alongside snatches of mariachi horns. And hovering over everything is the spirit of ‘60s boogaloo.“Boogaloo has lyrics in English, Spanish and Spanglish,” Mendoza says. “Joe Cuba mixed Latin rhythms, Soul and R&B together and made something new. In my head, though, Orkesta Mendoza is definitely a rock band.” That deep love of rock crosses time as well as space. “Eres Oficial,” for instance, looks back to the 1950s to evoke the ghost of Buddy Holly in its insistent guitar chords, and the production that puts an emphasis on the drumbeat. The song’s catchy; it sticks in in the brain, with a classic, spare feel.

“Much of the album has that more stripped-back sound,” Mendoza admits, “and the space to let the music through makes it more radio-friendly.”

That’s also very apparent in cuts like “Head Above Water” and “Little Space.” They bristle with hooks and immediacy and the kind of Latin flavours that would have been perfectly at home on old AM radio. They breathe.

“With “Head Above Water,” I was thinking about The Police,” Mendoza says. “You can hear it if you listen; we mixed the drums a bit louder, with the snare up front, the way Stewart Copeland played. And “Little Space” actually started out like The Jam. I wanted Nick Urata from Devotchka to sing on it, I thought he’d be perfect, and I sent him the track with my guide vocal. What he sent back was completely different, but it was so cool that I ended up reworking the song around what he’d done. So what began as The Jam ended up as vintage Mexican Cumbia.”

It hadn’t been Mendoza’s intention, but Curandero quickly became an album filled with guests.

“Originally it was going to be just the band, but it turned into our collaboration album! As we recorded, I kept hearing different voices for the tracks. I knew I wanted Nick, then Joey Burns of Calexico (Mendoza is a longtime member of the band) was just right for guitar and bass on “No Te Esperaba” which also features Chetes from the legendary Mexican rock band Zurdok.”

He even recruited the renowned Spanish singer Amparo Sánchez, who brought her fiery magic to heat up “Boogaloo Arizona,” a track that could almost be Curandero’s clarion call.

“I’ve known her for about 12 years,” Mendoza says. “We run into her at festivals, and she sang with us in Barcelona. Her voice is maturing in a very cool way. We’d talked about collaborating. I sent her the track and she put her voice on it.”

Curandero has a close, intimate feel, but this wasn’t a band playing together in a room; all the musicians came in separately to track their parts. The consistency of sound comes having the touring band drummer and bassist on most of the songs, and from Mendoza’s production which makes everything seem organic and bright. The music leaps out of the speakers.

Even the album’s sole instrumental, the toe-tapping “Bora Bora,” sounds like it was recorded in a dark, smoky club, with the feel of a soulful big band fueled by the retro, percussive power of Mambo.

“That was inspired by a bar called Bora Bora in Nogales, Sonora, a piano bar we used to go to, a guy playing an organ with a drum machine. Old ladies in their red dresses would be sitting there, waiting for men to show up and buy them a drink.”

That vintage sensibility even takes Orkesta Mendoza back further – all the way to the 1940s on the closing track. “Hoodoo Voodoo Queen” is the Andrews Sisters on a fantasy trip south of the border. The harmonies of Moira Smilie, Carrie Rodriguez and Gaby Moreno sparkle over percussion, pedal steel and glorious, honking sax. It’s a distinctly addictive oddity, and yet a perfect way to end the record, the unexpected twist that bursts like a brilliant bubble to close out the disc. And in its own way, it makes perfect sense beside the rest of the songs.

“You know,” Mendoza says, “I made Curandero based around boogaloo, but really, it was just an excuse to rock out. Boogaloo is the root, but Rock’n’Roll, that’s my love, too.”

Curandero. Backed by Little Feat with Lowell George and by top Japanese musicians (including Haruomi Hosono), Japanese Girl is one of the most important Japanese albums of the '70s, mixing pop, rock, and Japanese folk together with Little Feat's superb classic sound. After a marriage with musician/producer Makoto Yano and the birth of her son (Fuuta), Yano and her team resumed the recording of the album and decided to pitch Little Feat for a collaboration as she loved the group.

Against all odds they said yes and Yano left Tokyo for Los Angeles in March 1976 to record a full side with them. The legend has it they found it so difficult to keep up with Yano's compositions they returned some of their fee. The session was nevertheless stunning and Lowell George even compared Yano to Stevie Wonder. The Little Feat blend of New Orleans groove matched Yano's melodies perfectly, as witnessed on "Funamachi-Uta Part ". Originally a traditional song from The Nebuta Festival in her hometown of Aomori, the Little Feat version is a formidable slow-funk workout not dissimilar to their classic, "Spanish Moon", serving Yano's beautiful vocals and sense of groove to perfection.

The whole side is a match made in heaven, showcasing the classic Little Feat line up at their funkiest with Yano's unique Japanese twist. The Japanese side on the album gives a great snapshot of the Tokyo music scene of the '70s with many musicians gravitating around Haruomi Hosono and also several musicians from Japanese band, The Moonriders. Recorded at the legendary Onkyo Haus studio in Tokyo, the sessions mix singer-songwriter sensitivity and pop with traditional Japanese sounds and instruments like the shinobue transverse flute, the koto string instrument, or the Tsuzumi hand drum as played on "Hekoriputaa" by the legendary percussionist Kisaku Katada who was appointed Living National Treasure by the Japanese state in 1999; together they create a beautiful east-meets-west mix masterfully driven by Yano's creativity and unique talent. It was then manufactured and released on the East German state owned label Eterna with only a few boxes of records beingshipped back to Bamako.

A true masterpiece, this legendary LP offers some devastating songs such as ‘Djama’ (society), ‘Nissodia’ (joy of optimism), and ‘Fama Allah’ (an ode to god). Hypnotic organ riffs and breakbeats convey an unknown funk quality in Malian music, it now stands as a loving tribute to an unsung Malian golden age. Sadly, like many of the other now desired and prized vinyl rarities, at the time of release, it almost immediately disappeared without a trace due to a lack of promotion, and distribution. So, it feels fitting to share this gem of a record again, and hopefully it with reach the wider audience it deserved over 45 years ago.

Omar Khorshid ‎– Giant + Guitar, Vinyl LP

CULT CLASSIC LP BY LEGENDARY EGYPTIAN GUITARIST OMAR KHORSHID, FIRST RELEASED ON THE LABEL 'VOICE OF LEBANON' IN 1974 AND REISSUED HERE ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH ORIGINAL ARTWORK AND REMASTERED AUDIO PLUS NEW LINER NOTES BY ERNESTO CHAHOUD.

Wewantsounds is delighted to announce the reissue of Omar Khorshid's highly sought after instrumental album 'Giant + Guitar' originally released in 1974 in Lebanon and recorded at Polysound Studio by famed Lebanese engineer Nabil Moumtaz. Built around the successes of his soundtracks and songs for the movies of Christophe Honoré, Alex Beaupain's profile in the "chanson française" landscape is quite unique. Beaupain alternates between soundtracks, songs he writes for others (mainly great French actresses) and his own solo albums. In March 2021, Beaupain paid tribute to the late Serge Gainsbourg for the 30th anniversary of his passing during a special live on-air event where he covered in full, with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, Gainsbourg's penultimate shocking album from 1984: Love On The Beat. This experience led him directly in the studio with Saint DX as producer, the French-American duet Faux Real singing backing vocals and a full string section to re-record this cult album with a 2021 twist. He had also dreamed of covering that particular album that had so much impact on him, musically and lyrically, when he first discovered it. The '80s funky sound of the record, produced by Billy Rush, was a new start for Gainsbourg and at the time, the lyrics shocked everyone but achieved to avoid any censorship.

"I was 10 when Love On The Beat was released in 1984. Covering the full album was an idea I always kept somewhere in my mind as I was fully aware of the long-lasting impact this particular record had on all the teenagers at the time. This collection of songs is far from being the most covered or talked about works form Gainsbourg, but I've always had the feeling they were 'mine'. It's a breezy ride that touches on easy listening at times, but it holds it together with a cool swagger.

The album has long been a favourite with DJs and collectors over the years, with songs selected for compilations by Gilles Peterson and Nicola Conte. One of the centrepieces of the album, 'Candomblé', has been sampled by Cut Chemist on his track 'Povo de Santo'. The song 'Naña' is punchy and light with dancefloor-jazz appeal. The gloriously catchy 'Vem Balançar' is a brilliant bossa shuffler. New.

“Working with music is crazy,” multi-instrumentalist Domenico Lancellotti recently said in an interview. “God be crazy. Out of fear.” He’s right. To do anything creative is to exist outside your body, to teeter between reality and sanity. Full-time creativity requires God, fear, and intensity: you have to exist in whatever space you occupy, surveying the scene while remaining on the periphery of it. It’s from this mindset that Domenico created his new work, The Good is a Big God, a 14-track collection of reflective samba that first took shape almost six years ago.

Domenico was asked to take part in an artistic occupation in the city of London during the 2012 Summer Olympics. There, he reunited with famed British musician Sean O’Hagan—whom he’d met a few years prior during a show that paid homage to Tropicália. Before he left for London, Domenico sent O’Hagan a few musical sketches he’d done on guitar; by the time the Brazilian made it to the U.K., O’Hagan had string arrangements to accompany Domenico’s music. “We recorded nine songs that served as the soundtrack for my final Rio-Occupation project—an art film called Soundistante in a big exhibition,” says Domenico a renowned drummer with the likes of Gilberto Gil and member of the now-defunct the +2s. The musician added lyrics to some of these songs once he returned to Brazil. His friend and label mate Kassin helped Domenico write the words for “Insatiable,” and O’Hagan wrote the lyrics for “Logo.” “There was a record ready!” Domenico recalls with excitement.

The Good is a Big God is also partially inspired by a trip he took with his wife to a Brazilian national park called The Serra dos Órgãos. They rented a house and went climbing, which inspired four other songs: “A Alma do Vento (The Soul of the Wind),” “Volver-se (Turn Back),” “Dama da Noite (Lady of the Night)” and “Pare de Correr (Stop Running).” Listening to these songs, one can hear a sense of isolation and oneness with nature. It’s the type of art that arrives in a calming stream of thought, when it’s just you and God in conversation with one another. That focus also peppers a track like “Arvores, (Trees)” an airy folk-influenced tune that feels remarkably wide open and scenic, as if Domenico is surveying heaven, looking toward brighter days. In what might be the bleakest time in modern politics (and the world at large), The Good is a Big God is a much-needed respite from the rigors of everyday life.

A large-scale recording with grand implications, the album’s subtle nuances and insightful words only strengthen Domenico’s stature as one of Brazil’s most forthright Tropicalia musicians, and as a person who has the audience’s best interest at heart. He wants us all to love, to look up and embrace the sky, to forge ahead with a hug and a smile. “From the Olympics to the Olympiad, I witnessed a lot,” Domenico concludes. “The world ends and resumes every day. I got a star in the form of people who now walk beside me. I know that work never ends, but for now that’s it.” Fellowship isn’t crazy. That’s what God intended. — Marcus J. David Lindley and I were on tour in Japan, and were getting well worn out. Kina and a translator met up with us in Osaka and we all sat down in the lobby of this giant tourist hotel, which Kina hated. He just sat there, staring straight ahead, saying nothing for an hour. One year later, a round-trip plane ticket to Hawaii came in the mail, with a note that read: “ALA MOANA HOTEL, COMMERCIAL RECORDING STUDIO, PLEASE. KINA.” Kina had a habit of throwing himself down onto the floor and kicking his feet when he liked a playback. I remember thinking, this beats “one more for us, guys!”

When Kina’s wife, Tomoko, put down the vocal on “Flowers For You Heart,” he lay down and stayed down, making the engineer play it back over and over until he had wrung himself out—a real playback party, Okinawan style. You squeeze off one or two, say adios, and go to the house. Then later, maybe four people discover your little contribution, and then someone wants to reissue the album and there you go.” - Ry Cooder, 1993

Shoukichi Kina, who was born in Koza City (now Okinawa City) in 1948, grew up listening to the sound of sanshin played by his father, Shoei, a master of Okinawan music. While in senior high school, Shoukichi Kina composed “Hai Sai Ojisan,” which later became one of the greatest hit tunes ever to originate in Okinawa.

After he entered university in Okinawa in 1966, Shoukichi Kina formed Champloose and, finding it difficult to take his studies seriously, devoted much of his time to music, eventually leaving school entirely. It was around this time that various stories began to emerge — some true, some not quite — of his being a kind of nocturnal “King of Koza,” that he managed the folk music club Mikado, and that he made quite a lot of money as a dealer in a gambling casino.

In any case, perhaps because his first efforts at forming a band were not too successful, it wasn’t until ten years later, in 1976, that he reformed the band around his father’s folk music group. It was from then that the distinctive “Champloose Sound” began to emerge — a unique combination of rock and Okinawan folk that was exactly right for those times, and these times, too.

Before long, the “sound” found avid listeners among musicians and fans on the Japanese main islands, and such was its power that an album was quickly planned and, in 1977, recorded (at the Mikado, as it happened.)

That album, Shoukichi Kina and Champloose, today considered a seminal chapter in the annals of Japanese rock, received overwhelming public attention, particularly as Makoto Yano, Akiko Yano and other famed musical innovators participated in the sessions as guests. Thanks to its nearly instant popularity — and to some adroit timing — the first Champloose concert outside Okinawa, in December 1977, was also a crowning success, with round after round of standing ovations from the sell-out crowd at Tokyo’s Nakano Sun Plaza.

The second Champloose album, Blood Line, released in 1980, was not as quick in coming. But the wait was worth it, for the sessions, recorded in Hawaii with guests including Ry Cooder, Haruomi Hosono, and Makoto Kubota resulted in numbers such as “Jing Jing” (which rose to the Number Two spot on the British disco charts), “Hana…” which was sung by Tomoko Kina, covered by many others and is now a standard in Thailand, and other memorable cuts.

The third and fourth albums, Matsuri, recorded in 1982 in collaboration with Makoto Yano, and Celebration Live, a live album released in 1983, did not disappoint the many fans Champloose had gathered during these busy and fruitful years. Unfortunately, those fans had to wait another seven years for the next album.

Again the wait paid off: in August 1990, a 32-track digital recording machine was “imported” into Okinawa for the sole purpose of capturing the latest Champloose sound — a sound that by then had evolved and expanded to include, in addition to contemporary rock and Okinawan folk, a number of other musical factors ranging from reggae to jazz to Ainu melodies and more. Furthermore, both as a symbol of the wide scope of the group’s musical concepts and as a tribute to the inspiration they had received from Shoukichi Kina’s father, the latter also participated in the recordings.

After the release of that fifth album, fittingly called Nirai Kanai — Paradise, the group returned to active performance, and from May 1991, began work on their sixth and latest album, Earth Spirit.

Five of the 11 numbers on Earth Spirit are traditional Okinawan songs, and while such music normally has no choruses, Kina — joined by his fellow band members and by some outstanding guests from the fertile ethno-pop world of Paris — managed to weave some in, along with (not surprisingly) the irresistible flavors of Africa and the Caribbean as well.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1407/4970/files/shoukichi-kina-peppermint-tea-house-vinyl.jpg?v=1770939374
orchestre-tout-puissant-marcel-duchamp-ventre-unique-vinyl-lp
Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp - Ventre Unique, Vinyl LP

Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp - Ventre Unique, Vinyl LP

Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp’s latest album, “Ventre Unique”, is a dynamic exploration that seamlessly blends folk, krautrock, post-punk, and African rhythms, delivering an emotionally charged yet exuberant listening experience. One is the usual exemplary sound from ECM, for one thing, captured at a Danish museum that's a fine stand-in for an interior space where folk music would reside. For another, there's a feel for the smaller details of the various instrumental traditions on the part of the musicians, some of whom have played in folk bands themselves: violinist Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen and cellist Fredrik Schøyen Sjölin contribute convincing original tunes themselves, and Sørensen changes the texture up with harmonium and glockenspiel effectively. The program is intelligently put together, with a little medley of joined traditional (or traditional-style) tunes giving way to more elaborate arrangements, all by the quartet members themselves. Sample one of the more contrapuntal pieces, like Drømte mig en drøm. And ECM makes room within its usual set of arty, black-and-white photographs for a highly engaging set of notes about the tunes. The one thing that remains murky is why this music should be played by a string quartet, a medium that hardly fits it musically or historically. The players offer this: "Is it meaningful to explore what happens, when the 'function' of a melody is tweaked? Can a funeral chorale be used to celebrate Christmas? Can a rustic folk dance conjure up feelings of melancholy and contemplation? Is a traditional Norse boat song supposed to be sung by the men at oars or the women at home? And what happens when a classical string quartet travels yet again through the world of Nordic folk music?" The logical thread is not quite clear, but there's much to enjoy on the album.

Danish String Quartet – Keel Road

Keel Road Review by James Manheim

The Keel Road of this album's title is, in the words of the Danish String Quartet, "a retracing of the musical pathways across the North Sea." Such a thing is not unknown to folk groups from either the British Isles or Scandinavia, who have often incorporated tunes from both regions into their performances. The Danish String Quartet has issued several albums of folk material, and one might easily imagine this material being played at European folk festivals and the like. There are traditional tunes from Denmark, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Ireland, and England. Yet this is not really a folk album; the material is expanded in the direction of classical chamber music in several ways. There are new compositions from the group's first violinist (Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen) and cellist (Fredrik Schøyen Sjölin) that depart from traditional models, and the adaptations of the music to the string quartet medium are called arrangements but, as often as not, are something more, with introductions and transitional material. There are additions of spinet, harmonium, bass, and clog fiddle (the southern Swedish träskofiol), all played by the quartet's members. Especially interesting is the inclusion of three pieces by the blind Irish musician and composer Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738), who, several centuries ago, was doing something akin to what the Danish String Quartet accomplishes here. This highly recommended album comes with studio sound from ECM that exceeds even that label's usual high standards, creating an intimate, true chamber music sound.
