It’s the perfect set up for an album that swaggers with Bailey’s inherent punk spirit while flowing freely in a spacious production.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA 12-string adds harmony and warmth to the string-laden \u003cem\u003eJudas\u003c\/em\u003e, a glorious melancholic piece, \u003cem\u003eGasoline\u003c\/em\u003e smacks of the Stones country honking for \u003cem\u003eExile On Main Street\u003c\/em\u003e, while \u003cem\u003eBruises\u003c\/em\u003e is a candid recollection of how this celebrated troubadour got to where he did.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are moments of Dylan-esque majesty as chiming guitars and strings widen the panoramic scale, while the title track carries a haunting, poetic intensity, its mournful trumpet break as spine-tingling as anything you’ll hear.
