The fourth album in Wolfgang Voight's project as GAS, Pop is widely considered his magnum opus.

The album consists of slowly evolving hypnotic landscapes of looped field recordings and velvety sonic textures. Unlike some of his other work, there are no harsh elements; only warm, brain-massaging textures and rhythmic pulses. A real spa treatment for the brain.

Though Voight rejects the classification, If Porter Ricks' Biokinetics is considered the landmark in sub-aquatic dub techno, then Gas' Pop is surely the forest equivalent.
