Minor Threat - Out Of Step

After The Teen Idles broke up, Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson formed Minor Threat in 1980, joined by Lyle Preslar and Brian Baker. Part of D.C.’s early hardcore scene, the band championed a drug- and alcohol-free “Straight Edge” lifestyle. Their only official album, Out of Step, features eight songs that became hardcore punk classics, influencing generations of punk, emo, and DIY acts while expanding beyond their raw early sound.
